The VHS in Mainz offers courses in eight subject areas: People and Society, Planet Earth, Work and Career, School Qualifications, Languages, Art and Culture, Home Economics, Health and Fitness. Those interested in educational leave can choose courses from five different areas: Politics, Nature and the Environment, Work and Career, IT, Foreign Languages.
