The department includes:

Service center: The service center provides initial information about the services offered by the Office for Youth and Family Affairs and helps refer people to the right specialist.

Adoption placement and counseling: Counseling and support on the subject of adoption.

Early Intervention, Family Education, and Child Protection Unit: The staff develop and coordinate assistance and services for young parents.

General Social Services (ASD): The ASD provides advice on raising children, provides assistance, and protects children from danger.

Youth assistance in criminal proceedings/youth court assistance (JuHiS/JGH): The staff advise and support young people between the ages of 14 and 21 and, if necessary, their parents before, during, and after criminal proceedings.
