The ASD is the point of contact for families and young people who need advice. It arranges help with parenting, advises on separation, custody and access rights and intervenes in cases where a child's welfare is at risk. Advice is provided close to home by the relevant district teams.

The General Social Services (ASD) is the point of contact for young people, parents, and other family members seeking advice and support. Its main tasks include:

Youth welfare in criminal proceedings

Youth welfare in criminal proceedings (JuHiS) supports young people between the ages of 14 and 21 and, if necessary, their parents when they are charged with criminal offenses. The staff provide neutral support throughout the entire proceedings and offer educational counseling from the start of the criminal proceedings.

If you would like to volunteer as a youth lay judge in court, please contact the JuHiS staff.

Opening hours

The General Social Services Office is open:
Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Appointments outside these hours are possible by prior arrangement.

In cases where the welfare of a child is at risk, the General Social Services Department can also be reached Monday through Thursday until 6 p.m. and Friday until 3 p.m. at 06131 12-2942.

In the evenings, at night, on weekends, and on public holidays, the police and emergency services can be reached at the usual telephone numbers for urgent emergencies and crisis situations.
