Tasks
BRÜCKE offers youth counseling, drug/addiction counseling, outpatient aftercare, debt counseling, and prevention services. The target groups are adolescents and young adults, family members and caregivers, and multipliers. Individual, couple, and family counseling as well as guided group sessions are offered.
Target group (general): Current and former users of psychoactive substances that are prohibited by law ("illegal drugs"), their relatives and caregivers, clients subject to restrictions, users of "legal drugs" (e.g., alcohol and tobacco) of all ages who engage in risky or problematic behavior. With regard to the consumption of alcohol and tobacco, the services are aimed at young people and adults up to the age of 30.
Specific support and assistance includes:
- Initial and brief counseling
- Clearing/motivation clarification/referral
- Information and counseling on all addiction-related topics
- Crisis intervention
- Long-term counseling: Counseling and support for people with risky consumption behavior, counseling and psychosocial care for people with addictions, psychosocial support during substitution, outpatient treatment in individual and group settings, addiction support, outpatient aftercare, counseling for relatives
- Group offerings (e.g., SKOLL self-control training—for responsible use of substances)
- Addiction prevention
- Networking and cooperation
- BASIS semi-residential housing project
- Youth counseling: ages 13 and up
- Counseling for illegal addictive substances: no age restriction
- Counseling for legal addictive substances: up to age 30
- Initial legal assistance

If you would like to speak to one of our staff members in person, please make an appointment in advance.
Every Tuesday between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., there is an open consultation hour. This is primarily aimed at people who have not yet been in contact with BRÜCKE – both those affected of all ages and their relatives, as well as professionals who would like to discuss their concerns in a confidential setting.
During the open consultation hours, those seeking advice can easily take advantage of an initial consultation without making an appointment in advance. In the initial consultation, BRÜCKE staff provide information about local support services and the wider support system and clarify the next steps on an individual basis. All matters are treated confidentially, and all advisors are bound to secrecy.
