The department is responsible for training landscape gardeners in the field of horticulture and landscaping in accordance with the training framework plan and the specifications of the examining chamber of agriculture.

As part of its green space maintenance work, the department carries out landscaping work in all facilities belonging to the Parks and Environment Department. This includes paths, walls, fences, plantings, squares, small redesigns of areas, and the installation of playground equipment.
