Vineyards

Sustainability from the vine to the postage stamp – the Braunewell Winery sets standards in this area. Three factors – sustainability, efficiency, and working conditions – were the focus of the comprehensive renovation and expansion of the Braunewell family winery from 2018 to 2021. For example, all lighting was converted to LED and rainwater is collected for irrigation. Guests can explore the sustainably built wine cellars and wine production during exciting guided tours.

Winery

The winery generates 70 percent of its own electricity, and a battery and additional photovoltaic system are planned to make the winery an energy-plus building in the future. With its "fair&green" certification, the family has committed itself to ambitious sustainability goals for the future. All of this more than convinced the jury, which awarded the Best Of Wine Tourism Award 2022 in the category "Sustainability in Wine Tourism" to the Braunewell Winery.
