The department is the point of contact for all 240 employees of the Parks and Environment Department for technical questions. It is responsible for the technical infrastructure, including hardware and software maintenance. Its tasks also include the basic processing of GIS data, as well as the maintenance and updating of the department's green file and green statistics. The employees are setting up, processing, and maintaining an environmental information system using a GIS system.
