The department handles all personnel matters and is the point of contact for all administrative activities of the building authority. It handles all tasks in the area of budgeting and controlling for Department VI and, in part, for Department V.

Other key areas of focus include managing committees and processing inquiries and applications from municipal committees for Department VI.

The department also serves as a service center for the city planning office in the areas of human resources and budgeting/controlling.
